Nepal Tea Houses
There are tea houses along the hiking paths and in the villages of the Khumbu region. They provide a place to stay and also have a restaurant.
After a day of trekking, dinner is ordered and served in the main room. It is also a chance to meet other trekkers from around the world or read a book.
Most tea houses have a stove in the center of the room, burning wood or kerosene.
